Message	to pay out of pocket for smaller accidents. People have insurance for large multi-car accidents where it can get up around 50k or higher to settle everything. Sometimes it makes sense to not involve insurance, pay the 3-5k out of pocket, and keep your premium low. A premium increase can easily cost over 5k over a short period of time... especially with a 16 yo driver on the account. The premium would probably sky rocket.
